I want to machine only wood and plastic for simplicity

I would only do aluminium for myself

    What machines would you buy?

Was thinking 2 8*4' and 10*5 router and a 8*4 laser cutter for acrylic as everyone I rang only has 4*4 locally

    I can fit 4-8 8*4 machines

If I fit 8 I need to fit a Mezzanine floor this will take time as I don't have the money to do that yet or buy 8 machines

What CAD software would you use?

I can use Turbocad and Fusion right now I think I could learn Autocad quite rapidly

    What CAM software?

What would you charge per hour +vat, in the Midlands

Local prices seem to be 80 a hour + vat

I was thinking VCarve for now

I want to offer CAD and CAM services

I have delusions that 90% of work will be sign making but whatever it takes to make money

I was going to buy one see if I can get work for it, then keep buying machines until I can't keep them busy or run out of space/people I can make work them

If you didn't buy it from China the company you bought it from did ;)

    Already contacted him

Need someone to show me the ropes

    I can use one

But not pro and also make sure I didn't buy a lemon and give it the once over

    I'm a CAD man first

I will do anything you want to make money lol and I will work cheap

But I'm interested in the more complex stuff, 3d machining and 2 sided

Mostly I want to make my own designs

But hey they are the hobby that might pay

    Not the bread and butter
