    Greetings all,

I bought this hobby CNC: Luynee 3018 ULTRA : https://www.lunyeecnc.com/products/3...graving-dreams

I assembled the machine accroding to the included instructions + videos I checked.

Installed UGS and followed the instructions in this video to do my very first CNC cut: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUO6d7MaeCA

I did a couple of tries and the machine moves and cuts alright, but what I noticed is my controls are not right.

When I press the "X-" (left) on the jog controller it goes right, same for the X+ (right) it goes left. Same for Y+/-. Z is OK.

How do I fix that? I can see in that video, that the person presses left and it goes left, not the other way around.

    This is my machine:

Are you still having trouble with your 3018?

Thank you for checking this out. I managed to flip the controls and it looks OK IMO. I will give it a test today and see if it really is right. I've only done a few test cuts as you can see from the picture. Baby steps... :)

Yes on mine the up and down seemed to go opposite ways but it was actually doing the right thing. Yes I’m at the same stage as you. Easy has a free month and they have loads of patterns you can use to try out your tooling and speeds

I have an entry-level license for Deskrpoto, so that's my CAM software. For G-code I am using UGS. I fixed the directions, but the image is flipped and instead of down left as a zero point, machine starts on the uper left corner an does the image upside down if I am facing it. Also, zero point on the suface doesn't work for me. I need to figure these parameters out.

I know what you mean it’s awkward trying to figure it out by yourself. What helped me learn a little bit was I found a software called easel. You don’t have to download and software it’s just on there homepage. I used there free patterns to try out tooling and speeds. And with that your zero point is always the bottom left corner. When you see a big cnc cutting through something in one pass you think that’s how it will be but on my 3018 muck more that 1mm at a time and it barely handles it but it’s good to learn with
