    hi all
    im currently designing a router in inventor. ive got the main table and axis parts made but could do with a router. just i dont know which one or where you find them at? any help?
    ill post a pic of what ive done so far

    trend also supply a range of differant size collets

    although i've just noticed that the base is now integral instead of removable! try searching on e.bay for the older model

    Might be a bit over the top for what looks like an MDF / aluminium angle machine! Still, go for it if you can afford it - will last much much longer than any router.

    I'd be inclined to make the router sides a bit stronger. One economical / light way of doing this is to use two sheets of MDF (perhaps thinner) with a gap in between. That will make it much stronger in the direction parallel to the Y axis.
