Hoping to make contact with anyone ( realistically in the UK.....no offense !) who has had recent experience of converrting either a Sherline Lathe or Mill, to CNC.
I know there are packages out there but I am looking to make contact with those who have made the conversions without spending an arm and a leg on Import Duty and Vat.
Questions:
Are the manual (imperial) leadscrew threads ok or do they have to be modded to minimise backlash?
Source for Steppers of the appropriate type
Source for Power supply /breakout/controllers?
Can Corel be used as the drawing medium
