Thread: Sx3 mill conversion

Ive been really impressed with what others have achieved on these little machines so I took the plunge and bought an x3 from arc euro trade a few weeks back.
I was also lucky enough to come across another used x3 complete with a syil conversion kit.and loads of tooling etc
I removed the kit and replaced with original running gear and sold that on.
theres still a few bits to get/maybe replace, ive decided not to use the standard syil electronics but start from scratch
stepper motors-sy60 from zapps for the x and y axis
Nema 34 Stepper Motor GB34H2113-50-4A 920 Oz-in for the z
drivers- DQ860MA 80V 7.8A
breakout board system 1 v2 from diycnc

well progress has been slow,i bought pulleys from beltingonline for the x axis took 15 days delivery only for me to trash em trying to bore them out on a mill,so re-ordered and had them bore them to the correct id ,they should be here around mid may:/.
just a few pictures of progress so far I will edit this post later today with a few more rather than bump the thread
